Cantonese is one of China's major languages. It is spoken by by an estimated 71 million people in the province of Guandong and the city of Guangzhou (Canton), as well as in Hong Kong and Macao, and in expatriate Chinese communities and Chinatowns in Southeast Asia, Europe and the USA.
Standard Cantonese, also known as the Guandong dialect is the official language of Hong Kong alongside English and is the language of choice for education, business, government, and the media. Many of our clients are learning Cantonese to enhance their business relationships with customers or associates working in Hong Kong.
Our Cantonese trainers specialize in the teaching of Cantonese to those who need to learn to communicate in Cantonese in a broad range of everyday situations. Over the past year, we have provided beginner, intermediate and advanced level courses in Cantonese for professionals working in the law, the media and in the financial services.
Our teachers are all native speakers of Cantonese, good speakers of English and are university graduates. Many have backgrounds in law, finance, marketing or accountancy to add to their teaching qualifications. Although Cantonese is a hard language for native speakers of English to learn, our trainers are experienced in making it accessible to all types of learner.
