Business Language Training was founded in 1987 by its directors, Tessa Lamb and Donal McCay. Over the years the company has established a global training network and provides tailored Professional English and foreign language training solutions for companies and individuals around the world.
Tessa Lamb is a graduate in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford and is a member of the Institute of Linguists. She taught English in the UK, France and Germany before embarking on a successful career in the global education sector. She managed a group of language schools in the US before returning to the UK to co-found Business Language Training. Tessa has lived and worked in seven countries, has experience of working with many more and is proficient in a number of languages.
Donal McCay is a graduate in Commerce from University College, Dublin and studied accountancy before embarking on a career in management and consultancy within the education sector. He is a former chairman of the Association of Language Excellence Centres, which was established by the DTI to promote the highest standards in language training for business.
Over the years, the directors of Business Language Training have built up an outstanding course management team. All of our course managers are graduates in modern languages, trained language teachers and have excellent administrative skills. Every client is assigned a dedicated course manager who will be responsible for all aspects of that client's training, from arranging initial assessments to setting up courses, briefing trainers and providing regular attendance, progress and financial reports.
